Act respecting the protection of persons

There have been recent changes in Québec concerning the Act respecting the protection of persons whose mental state presents a danger to themselves or to others. Those changes also apply to Nunavimmiut. Given the numerous crisis situations and the suicide rate in Nunavik, the Nunavik Regional Board of Health and Social Services (NRBHSS) and the region’s two health centres wish to inform all Nunavimmiut about this statute as well as their rights.
