Regional Department of General Medicine

Nunavik's Regional Department of General Medicine (RDGM) groups together all the region's permanent family physicians. The RDGM is responsible for recruiting general physicians in accordance with the PREM (Plan Régional d'Effectifs Médicaux) each year and makes recommendations for the organization of general medical services in the region. The RDGM’s Executive Committee is made up of 3 physicians from the IHC and 3 physicians from the UTHC, elected for a 2-year term, from whom a chief and an assistant chief are chosen.
